About the Author
John Hatton served with the International Mission Board (IMB) for 23 years. Before the IMB years, John was a Graphic Designer in Fort Worth, Texas; a copywriter for a Christian advertising agency (part owner) in Brazil; the Communications Coordinator for World Vision Brazil; and Graphic Artist and Illustrator for Bethany Fellowship in Brazil.
While with the IMB, John was the Art and Advertising Director at the Baptist Spanish Publishing House in El Paso, Texas; the Caribbean Christian Publications' Art Director in South Florida; and Graphic Designer on the Media Team in Santiago, Chile, and in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
He presently works with The Mailbox Club (TMC) as a graphic designer and, with his wife Monica, coordinates TMC’s ministry in Brazil. John was also invited to create and direct a Bible Institute in Orlando, Florida where, among other subjects, he taught the subject of the Kingdom of God.
Through the years John has written and illustrated several Gospel tracts in several languages; served as the first editor of World Vision Brazil’s monthly newsletter and reported on human interest stories, which were published by World Vision in the United States, Canada, and Australia.
John and his wife Monica are the proud parents of Monique and Melissa. Monique and Brian are the parents of Heidi and Derek; Melissa and Aaron are the parents of Asher.
